Winger🇳🇴 Norwegian·RB Leipzig·b. 2005

Antonio Nusa

An explosive, two-sided winger built for isolation — pace, close control and the confidence to take on his full-back every time.

Playing Style Summary

Nusa is a direct, dribbling winger who combines explosive pace with close control and flair. Unusually, he is equally effective on either flank, which lets coaches switch him between the left and right depending on the matchup. He came through Stabæk, moved to Club Brugge as a teenager and scored on his Champions League debut, then joined RB Leipzig in August 2024 and scored on his Bundesliga debut. He was part of Norway's 2026 World Cup squad.

Defining Traits

One-v-One Isolation

He wants the ball at his feet facing his full-back, using feints and sudden changes of direction to beat his man on either side.

Explosive Acceleration

Short-area burst over the first few metres lets him escape after a feint and attack space behind or across the defence.

Two-Sided Winger

Comfortable on both flanks — on one side he goes outside to cross, on the other he cuts inside to shoot or combine.

Transition Carrier

In Leipzig's fast, vertical game he is a natural ball carrier on the break, driving forward into open space after a regain.

Strengths

  • Explosive pace and acceleration over short distances
  • Dribbling and close control in tight wide areas
  • Ability to play on either wing without losing effectiveness
  • Ball-carrying threat in transition
  • Composure on big stages from a young age

Limitations

  • Final-ball and finishing output still developing relative to his dribbling volume
  • Can over-commit to the dribble when a simpler pass is on
  • Defensive tracking of overlapping full-backs is inconsistent
