Course 08 - Pressing Triggers and Counter-Pressing
The shadow striker is **one of the team's three most important pressers** — not because he is fastest, but because he is closest to the ball when possession is lost in the high or middle thirds. Half-space residency (Course 07) puts him 5–15 m from most loss events; trained correctly, he reaches the ball within 1.5–3 seconds of the loss and starts the counter-press before the opposition can organise.
